The members of the board (CvB) of both universities keep supervision on the functioning of ACTA:
The dean of ACTA is charged with the general management of ACTA in accordance to the Higher Education and Research Act (WHW). He is being assisted by the management team.
The Board of ACTA consists of the following members:
Fedde Scheele
Dean UvA and VU - As a physician and professor-researcher, Fedde has a professional view of healthcare. Thanks to his managerial experience, he also knows the manager's side. He enthusiastically puts his hybrid past at the service of ACTA.
Jacqueline Adema
Director of operations
Etienne Verheijck
Director of education - Etienne is ultimately responsible for education as a member of the faculty board. He represents ACTA in the UCO of the UvA. As vice-dean of education at VU Amsterdam, his responsibilities include educational innovation and AI.
Cees Kleverlaan
Director of research and vice-dean, Professor of biomaterials - ACTA's research and valorisation focuses on sustainable and patient-centred solutions for tomorrow's oral care.
Liesbeth Rieter
Director of care - As a member of the board, Liesbeth is responsible for the quality of care provision. With her knowledge of healthcare processes in a broad sense and extensive (programme) management experience, she contributes enthusiastically to the desired changes.
Gerlinda Postma
Acting executive secretary - Gerlinda has temporarily assumed the position of board secretary since October 2025. She supports the faculty board in policy-making and decision-making and coordinates coordination with the participation bodies within ACTA.
Tycho Vermaat
Student Assessor - The student-assessor independently participates in strategic meetings, liaises with students, the student council and the study association, participates in national consultations and advises the board on education and care policies.
