In the educational clinic, patient care is provided by dental students and mouth hygienists who are in the final phase of their training. The students are supervised by a dentist.
In the staff clinic, patient care is performed by paediatric dentists in training. The post-grad students are supervised by paediatric dentists.
Education
The Department of Paediatric Dentistry provides theoretical and practical education for the training of dental students and mouth hygienists. In addition, ta postgraduate master's degree in paediatric dentistry is also offered. The master programme is accredited by the NVAO and the EAPD.
Research
The Department of Paediatric Dentistry carries out scientific research. In addition to doctoral research and research projects in the context of education, the section also conducts research with international collaboration. Within the research, the emphasis is mainly on all kinds of aspects of the treatment of young children.
Patients
The Department of Paediatric Dentistry treats children aged 0 to 18 years. Sometimes the children are referred by their own dentist, but that is not always the case. Your child can also come to us without a referral from your own dentist. Together with the parents, we look for the most optimal treatment for the child.
