Care, education and research are combined in this 25,000 square meter building. ACTA is a joint venture between the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Amsterdam and the Faculty of Dentistry of the VU Amsterdam. The Foundation for Special Dentistry and the Oral Hygiene Faculty of InHolland University of Applied Sciences also use the building. Every day 300 patients are treated here, there are more than 900 students and more than 800 employees work.
The ACTA building was designed by Benthem Crouwel Architects and it won third prize in the 2011 Amsterdam architectural competition.
