Marketing & Communications

Last updated on 25 February 2026
The Marketing & Communication (M&C) department advises on internal, external and general ACTA-wide communication (also called: corporate communication).

M&C is further responsible for carrying out communication activities in line with the ACTA annual plan, as well as creating, managing and monitoring the content and agreements (policies) around our corporate communication channels: ACTA.nl, information screens, newsletters, magazines and social media.

What can M&C help you with?

Among other things, the M&C service can help you:

  • In disseminating ACTA news and ACTA events: ACTA-wide or external.
  • If you need advice in the field of communication, for example on: the use of communication tools, on (simple) language, media contacts, the house style and achieving certain communication goals such as: ACTA-wide changes or reputation.
  • If you need advice on the communication around an ACTA-wide project within the subjects *(core tasks): operations, education, research, valorisation and care.
  • if you need questions or advice about ACTA.nl, for example if you can't find something, want to have something changed or want to add a new section.

Who works at M&C?

The M&C department employs a head of department, 1 communication officer, 1 chief editor/final editor and 2 communication consultants. M&C staff are in regular contact with colleagues within education, research, patient care and operations, and also work with the communication departments of the UvA and VU.
