The Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam is delighted to welcome you at the International Saliva Symposium 2026. Everyone who is interested in this multifunctional fluid is invited to join the symposium in Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands.
The International Saliva Symposium 2026 will discuss the role of saliva in dentistry and medicine, in food and taste experience, and its use for diagnostics. We want to bring together scientists from all fields of salivary research and to stimulate scientific exchange in a friendly atmosphere. Keynote lectures by invited speakers, all experts in their field, are followed by presentations of participants. You are invited to submit an abstract and present your work by an oral or poster presentation.

Abstracts should be submitted as an attached Word document to: salivaresearch@acta.nl. In order to prevent editing errors, please also include a PDF version of your abstract. You may submit your preferred mode of presentation (oral or poster presentation), but we cannot guarantee that we can meet your preference.
The abstract should meet the following criteria:
- max. 250 words
- Layout: 12 points ARIAL font, 1 inch margin, single line spacing
- Title in bold, 10 words max.
- Author names in CAPITALS, mark the presenter's name with an asterisk*
- Address, department, institution, e-mail address of the presenter
- Conclusions underlined
- Acknowledgements, financial support at the end of the abstract
- References in text within parentheses (only authors and publication year) (if necessary)

We are looking forward to welcome you in hotel Zuiderduin in Egmond aan Zee. Hotel Zuiderduin offers a professional ambiance for the conference, but we hope you will also enjoy the excellent food and the luxurious facilities. Egmond aan Zee used to be a small fishing town that has turned into one of the major Dutch tourist resorts without losing its quaint appearance. When you take a walk at the beach or on the dunes, it is hard to believe that you are so close to Amsterdam and its world-famous museums and canals.
