Transversal Microradiography

The effects that oral care products have on lesioned dental hard tissues can be evaluated using Transversal Microradiography (TMR).

This technique allows to measure shifts in mineral content. It uses high resolution x-ray imaging of thin planoparallel sections. The x-rays can be quantified by digitizing the x-ray images using dedicated software (TMR, Inspektor Research Systems, Amsterdam).
