Personal information
Marja Laine is a dentist and interested in halitosis in relation to periodontitis and saliva. Her research topics are multifactorial etiology of halitosis, periodontitis, and peri-implantitis and the relation with saliva. She is especially interested in the role of microbiological, genetic, and immunological factors. Furthermore, she is active as an expert in the saliva referral clinic of ACTA. In addition to research, she also performs teaching duties in the field of halitosis, saliva, and periodontitis within the dentistry programme at ACTA.
