Waterbiofilm model

Waterbiofilm model: a medium-throughput dynamic flow model for to study dental unit water system biofilm.
  • Dynamic flow model
  • Modular system
  • Up to 16 individual biofilms
  • Excellent for longitudinal studies
  • Complex inter-kingdom biofilms
  • Various inocula possible
  • Various tubing substrates possible O.D. 6 mm: e.g. PE, PUR, Silicone
  • Suitable to test antimicrobial effects of disinfectants
  • Suitable to test ecological effects
  • Output parameters:
    • Composition of both biofilm as effluent water
    • Heterotrophic plate counts
    • Legionella plate counts
    • Microbiome analysis
    • Quantitative PCR for the presence of Legionella spp., amoebae, fungi
